Overwhelmed with Anthony Joshua’s watch collection make everyone only wish

We have no objections whatsoever. Here’s what the British heavyweight champion has been wearing on his wrist while he waits to regain his title.

A few months ago, in late September, few individuals predicted that Anthony Joshua would be outboxed and ultimately defeated by Oleksandr Usyk. Fans can, however, at least partially attribute his Spurs-like performance to the fact that the brawl took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

While promoter Eddie Hearn has been doing what he does best – promoting boxing matches – to negotiate a rematch so Joshua can reclaim the heavyweight title he believes is his, he has been delivering knockouts of a completely different nature.

There are several notable timepiece locations. Let’s begin with the most recent photograph, in which he posed on a plush white chair while wearing an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph, but not just any Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph. This one measures an enormous 48mm. It is made of 18K pink gold and set with 673 brilliant-cut diamonds and 332 diamonds on the dial, case, and bracelet. Before proceeding, we’ll give you a moment to count the 1005 diamonds, which weigh approximately £225,000. Introduced in 2015, this particular timepiece features a T3-style case with pushpiece-protectors to offer the crown a little extra protection – something AJ could have used in the ring.

While the bling gets most of the attention, I’m a great fan of the chocolate brown of the bold Arabic numerals, and despite the busy dial, the eye is still very much drawn to the time. In fact, consistent with the original Royal Oak Offshore’s vertical counter display, where the hour, 30-minutes, and small seconds counters are located at 6, 9, and 12, there is a date window next to the 3 o’clock position rather than in place of it. This does make the dial more cluttered than necessary, but at 48mm there is more room than usual to accommodate such designs.

Despite the fact that his trophy case is currently a little vacant, he probably also has some of his other APs on display. Most notable is his Black Panther Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon, which was developed in collaboration with Marvel.Joshua presented his Instagram followers with an impromptu unwrapping of the limited-edition, 250-piece watch. Regardless of whether the watch is appealing or not, I cannot think of a better use of Instagram Live than revealing a highly anticipated item worth over £120,000.

Love or loathe the concept piece, there is no denying how insane the Black Panther Concept is as the first timepiece produced by a creative collaboration – talk about establishing the tone. At 42mm, it’s one of the smaller pieces in Joshua’s collection, and whether or not you’re a Marvel devotee, you can’t deny that the dial is one of the most inventive expressions of haute horology in recent memory. Yes, that is a hand-engraved Black Panther figure positioned at 6 o’clock above an exposed tourbillon.

There are many other options available, but these two are Joshua’s more casual pieces: a recently discontinued rose gold Royal Oak chronograph and an Oak Offshore Self-winding Chronograph.

The 18 karat rose-gold Royal Oak is pretty ideal for all kinds of occasions where you’re trying to stay under the radar while the 41mm Offshore brings out the action man in Joshua. While his greatness as a boxer is yet to be truly proven, there’s no denying his watch box already looks very strong indeed.
