Scarlett Johansson, 37, reflects on her acne struggles during her twenties

And the 37-year-old actress opened up about skin problems she had in her twenties.

‘I still look back at photos of myself on the red carpet in my twenties and think, “I remember that pimple,”‘ the mother of two told People.

Scarlett Johansson is a co-founder of the skincare line The Outset. And the actress, 37, talked about skin problems she had in her twenties; she was last seen in 2005.

Scarlett revealed that she would become stressed while filming a movie due to her acne breakouts.

‘It was dreadful. I’d cover my acne before getting into the makeup chair so I didn’t feel so exposed. It has a real impact on how you feel about yourself, and you want to scrub it away.’

Adding that at the time, the actress tried ‘every kind of acne peel, mask, and resurfacing polish’ before realizing that those particular products were too harsh for her skin.

She eventually settled on a cleansing, toning, and moisturizing regimen.

Scarlett and Kate Foster started the brand The Outset together, and it went live in March of this year.

The brand has six products, and the most recent one is an exfoliating caffeine micro polish. All of their products are vegan and don’t test on animals.

The Outset also has the nourishing squalane daily moisturizer, the soothing vitamin C eye and expression lines cream, the gentle micellar antioxidant cleanser, the firming vegan collagen prep serum, and the niacinamide night cream.

People asked Scarlett what makes her brand different from other celebrity beauty brands. She replied, “I always expect there to be some level of skepticism because I’ve been through it in my movie life too.”

However, I’m sure of our products because they’re so dependable. It stands out because it’s clear what’s in the line and what it’s doing. 

The blonde beauty also said that her favorite way to relax is with a “deep, painful massage” and that she is very picky about keeping things in order.
