The film will compete at Cannes against new films from 17 other favorites, including new offerings from director heavyweights Ken Loach, with Jimmy’s Hall, and Mike Leigh, with Mr. Turner.
The festival kicked off on May 14 with a screening of the controversial new biopic Grace of Monaco, starring Nicole Kidman as the American actress who became a prominent member of the French principality.
The proceedings will conclude on May 25 with the announcement of the winner of this year’s Palm d’Or.
