Travis Kelce has opened up about his swift relationship with Taylor Swift and how being with the pop star has changed his life.
The NFL star, who won two Suρer Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs, has become even more famous since he started dating Swift this year. In late September, she came to Arrowhead Stadium to cheer him on for the first time, making their relationship official.
It was J. R. Moehringer, who wrote Prince Harry’s autobiography Spare, who told Kelce about how someone on Swift’s team helped set them up after he told Moehringer about how he tried to give her his number after an Eras show in Kansas City but failed.
“For sure, she had people in her corner who knew who I was and told her, ‘Yo! Did you know he was going to come? Kelce said, “I had someone play Cupid.”
Not long after, they set up a first date. Kelce, who is usually very sure of himself on the football field, was nervous, though.
“When I met her in New York, we had already been talking a little, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and talk, and then you know what will happen.”
In the beginning, he was afraid of making a mistake: “That was the most important thing to me: make sure I don’t sаy anything that would push Taylor away.”
But it’s clear that they got along; Kelce calls Swift “hilarious” and a “genius.”
Kelce also said that he and Taylor sang “Teenage Dirtbag” together at a party at his Kansas City home late at night.
He joked, “There was definitely some wine involved.”
