Taylor Swift makes Forbes’ list of the World’s Most Powerful Women

Forbes magazine named Taylor Swift one of the world’s most powerful wоme𝚗, ranking her fifth among world leaders, CEOs, and heads of financial corporations.

Swift is ranked fifth on the influential publication’s list of the World’s Most Powerful Wоme𝚗 for 2023. Last year, she ranked 79th on the same list.

‘With a record-breаking world tour, the ability to move economies, and a $1.1 billiоn net worth, the 33-year-old entertainer ranks among the most influential wоme𝚗 on the planet,’ Forbes says in an introductory paragraph of the pop star.

Taylor embarked on her record-breаking Eras Tour in 2023, as well as a new romance with football star Travis Kelce, which merged two unlikely worlds, Swifites and the NFL.

Swift became a billionaire in October as a result of her historic Eras tour, which grossed nearly $850 million after 66 shows in the United States, according to Forbes.

Taylor Swift has been declared one of the world's most powerful women by Forbes magazine, landing at number five on a list that includes world leaders, CEOs, and heads of financial corporations

Swift’s net worth increased to $1.1 billiоn after she earned $190 million – after taxes – during the first leg of her tour, prompting her net worth to increase. Her next tour will take her to Europe and Asia in 2024.

The publication also mentioned the economic benefits of hosting an Eras show in a city. According to Forbes, fans spent an average of $1,300 on lodging, food, and retail during her two Denver concerts, contributing $140 million to Colorado’s GDP.

According to US Travel Association estimates, Taylor’s tour contributed more than $5 billiоn to state economies.

‘She’s like a big corporation, operating in many sectors,’ Carolyn Sloan, a labor economist and University of Chicago professor, told Forbes.

‘For so long, her audience has been so young and female that people may have underestimated how big this thing could be economically. Nobody doubts that today, in my opinion.’

Forbes also mentions the success of her Eras Tour concert, which took place in October. The film grossed $93 million in its first weekend and more than $250 million worldwide.

Swift’s film’s release also coincided with her much-discussed romance with NFL star Travis Kelce, whom she has been cheering on in person at his games.

Forbes also mentions her successful re-recording of her songs following a dispute over the masters. 1989 (Taylor’s Version), her most recent re-recording, broke a Spotify record.
