Brittany Mahomes, Taylor Swift’s new close friend, quietly supported her after she was named TIME’s 2023 Person of the Year this week.

Mahomes honored Swift, 33, by double tapping to like all three of her magazine covers, which the singer — who is dating football player Travis Kelce — posted on her Instagram grid.

Taylor and Brittany have developed a genuine crush on each other in the midst of Swift’s new romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

According to TMZ, the newly minted billionaire and the 28-year-old mother-of-two, whose husband is Chiefs starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes, exchanged phone numbers on their first meeting.

Mahomes’ latest Instagram post, in which she shared three photos from a recent football game, features the pop music sensation.

‘G A M E D A Y S,’ she captioned the photo, which was accompanied by red and black heart emoji. 

Taylor’s POTY award was also recognized by the NFL and the Chiefs, who both used social media to share and comment on a quote from her interview.

‘It turns out that football is awesome. ‘I’ve been missing out my entire life,’ admitted the singer-songwriter in the profile.

‘Couldn’t have said it any better,’ the league added in a post on X.

Meanwhile, the official Chiefs account reposted it, adding, ‘We tend to have that effect on people.’

Swift is the first entertainer to be named Person of the Year, a title that was previously known as Man of the Year, in TIME’s 96-year history.

Swift has since attended several of her NFL beau’s games, including his first loss this past Sunday.

She revealed that they only revealed their relationship to the public after months of sеcrеt dating. 

‘We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew about, which I’m thankful for because it allowed us to get to know each other. We were a couple by the time I went to that first game,’ she confirmed.
