Taylor Swift will take as many flights as she needs to see her new boyfriend Travis Kelce, with the singer having taken more than 12 flights in the last three months alone.
The superstar singer was named the biggest celebrity CO2 polluter of the year in 2022, and she looks set to win the title for a second year in a row as she spends time with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
Swift, 34, has not only flown back and forth between New York and Kansas City, but she has also made stops in South America for her ongoing Eras World Tour as her romance with NFL star continues to blossom.
Taylor Swift’s trips have produced 138 tons of CO2 emissions to date, according to statistics tracked by Taylor Swift’s Jets on Instagram.
To offset the environmental damage caused by her flights, the singer would need to plant 2,282 trees and let them grow for ten years.
According to the Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator, it is the equivalent of 17 houses’ annual energy consumption or the annual electricity consumption of 26.9 homes.
Swift owns two multi-million-dollar planes: a Dassault Falcon 7x, N621MM under Island Jet Inc., and a Dassault Falcon 900, N898TS under SATA LLFC.
According to Tennessee Secretary of State documents, both companies are affiliated with Taylor Swift Productions in Nashville, Tennessee.
Taylor’s representative reacted angrily after she came out on top in the 2022 pollution rankings, claiming Swift frequently allows others to fly her Falcon 7X jet around the world.
However, there is no doubt she has been aboard the plane on numerous flights between Kansas City, New York, and other destinations since September.
The journeys have consumed 12,622 gallons of jet fuel, which is estimated to be worth $70,779.
Swift flew from Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Kansas City, with a stopover in Tampa, Florida, on her longest flight to date.
The journey consumed 4,151 gallons of fuel, estimated to be worth $23, 250.
Taylor and Travis are said to be ‘obsessed’ with each other, with the pair happily flying to and from his games and her concerts to spend time together – as seen in this photo from December 10th.
Swift’s spokesperson told DailyMail.com that she was working to reduce the carbon footprint of her planes by flying less frequently than in previous years.
‘Before the tour began in March 2023, Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits required to offset all tour travel,’ according to a spokesperson.
Taylor could have accounted for more than enough credits to cover her latest romance arising in the midst of her sell-out tour, with her trips to support Kelce increasing her carbon footprint alongside her planned tour travels.
Taylor had previously revealed to DailyMail.com that she had temporarily moved into her boyfriend’s $6 million Kansas City mansion while on tour, with a moving truck spotted outside last month.
According to a separate source, the couple were using it as a ‘practice run,’ with Taylor eager to settle down with her’soulmate’ if all goes well.
Swift won’t be back on stage until February 7, when she embarks on a tour of Japan.
In fact, the singer’s Eras Tour will visit Europe, Asia, and Australia in 2024. She also stated her intention to return to the United States next year.
The couple is said to be ‘obsessed’ with one another, flying to and from his games and her concerts to spend time together.
‘While Taylor isn’t officially moving in with Travis, her friends and family believe she isn’t exactly moving out,’ an insider close to the Blank Space singer exclusively told DailyMail.com.
Taylor was named the 2022 celebrity C02 polluter of the year.
Taylor recently opened up about her romance with Travis for the first time in an interview with TIME magazine, dispelling rumors that their first date was at one of his home games.
‘It all started when Travis put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as Һell,’ she explained to the publication.
‘We began hаnging out immediately after that. So we had a significant amount of time that no one knew about, which I’m grateful for because it allowed us to get to know each other.
‘We were a couple by the time I went to that first game. I believe some people believe they saw our first date at that game. We’d never be psychotic enough to force a first date.’
Taylor rented a Hawker Beechcraft 4000 instead of flying one of her two jets back east from the first outing with Travis.
The Beechcraft consumes approximately 2,600 pounds of fuel during its first hour of flight, and subsequent hours consume 1,800 to 1,900 pounds.
Since then, the actress has flown on her own planes to support Travis’ team during games in Kansas City, New Jersey, and Denver.
