On New Year’s Eve, Conor McGregor announced on social media that he will be competing against Michael Chandler in a middleweight match on June 29. Chandler might be the opponent.
In the beginning, it was stated in February that McGregor will fight Chandler at a later date in 2023. This would be the Irishman’s first fight since he sustained a fractured leg in July of 2021. Despite this, the fight has not yet gone place, and McGregor has stated that he may even face a different opponent when he makes his return to the UFC championship.
Nevertheless, on Sunday (the 31st of December), the former champion appeared to affirm that he will battle Chandler in the following match. He also stated that the fight will take place in the middleweight division and in Las Vegas. However, the UFC has not officially confirmed the fight.

During International Fight Week, which will take place in Las Vegas on June 29th, the greatest comeback in the history of the sport will take place. Michael Chandler is the adversary in this matchup. In addition, Mr. Chandler, the weight is 185 pounds.
Earlier in his career, McGregor was the only person in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship to simultaneously hold the featherweight and lightweight categories of the organization. The American Chandler, on the other hand, has won the Bellator lightweight championship three times in the past.
