For a variety of reasons, Taylor Swift’s Eras tour concert in London on Friday evening was particularly memorable.
First and foremost, the “Anti-Hero” singer celebrated concertgoer Prince William’s 42nd birthday by taking a backstage selfie with him and his two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
However, another significant moment occurred the following morning when Swift posted a photo to her verified Instagram account of herself and the royal family, as well as Swift’s boyfriend, American football star Travis Kelce.
The photo is the first of Kelce that Swift has ever shared on her main Instagram feed, making it their “Instagram official” post.
“Happy Bday M8!” Swift wrote in her caption. “London shows are off to a splendid start.”
Kelce and Swift started dating last year, after the famous athlete revealed on a July episode of his podcast “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” – which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce – that he tried to give Swift his phone number via a friendship bracelet during one of her concerts.
Swift stated in December that they quietly “started hanging out” shortly after that. Swift attended Kelce’s Super Bowl victory with the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this year and embraced him on the field.
The Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account also shared a photo from the gathering, showing Swift in a sparkling pinstripe suit with her arm extended to take selfies with the group.
Swift played the first of three shows at London’s Wembley Stadium on Friday. She then travels to Dublin, Ireland, at the end of this month for the next stop on the European leg of her Eras tour. She will return to London for five more shows in August.
