Thousands of fans shared photos of Selena Gomez wearing a blood-stained sweater, being escorted by police on the set of a new movie.

On the evening of April 9, the crew of Only Murders in the Building filmed a scene where a murder suspect was arrested at an apartment building in New York City (USA). Selena Gomez’s character was terrified when the police handcuffed her and escorted her into a car. According to the Daily Mail , many viewers surrounded her when the scene ended. Photos taken at the set quickly spread on social media.

The series follows three crime-obsessed strangers (played by Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez) who find themselves caught up in a series of apartment-floor murders and try to prove their innocence. Amy Ryan and Nathan Lane also star. The first season will run for 10 episodes, with no release date yet announced.

Only Murders in the Building marks Gomez’s return to the small screen since her role as Alex Russo in Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-2012). In addition to starring, she also served as a producer on the film alongside Martin, Hoffman, Short, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal. Most recently, she voiced Betsy in Dolittle (2020), and in 2019 starred in The Dead Don’t Die and A Rainy Day in New York.

Selena Gomez was born in 1992 in Texas, USA. She became known for her roles in Disney films before switching to singing. In 2009, she joined the band The Scene, releasing three consecutive albums in three years, all of which entered the top 10 in the US market in the first week of release.

Since 2013, Gomez has been a solo artist and has released three albums to date, all of which topped the Billboard 200 chart. In 2020, she released the single Lose You to Love Me. which was well received by listeners. The song was Gomez’s first to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
